Religious Education
FIND OUT MORE
Religious Education is an opportunity to support each other as individuals,
families, and communities in an ongoing search for truth and meaning. Through quality curricula, discussion, and various formats of learning for children, youth, and adults, we seek to transform ourselves and our world through continually learning and growing together.
Adult Faith Development Planning Meeting
On Monday, September 14th at 1pm via Zoom, Rev. Michelle Yates looks forward to connecting with church members to collaborate on Faith Development programming ideas in this unique time. Please email Rev. Michelle at edu@uuroc.org if you are interested in attending or have ideas for growing our souls this year.
Children and Family Faith Development Planning
Rev. Michelle Yates will be reaching out to our families to schedule a zoom meeting for considering the shape of Children and Family programming this coming church year. If you have not received Family Updates via email or are not in the Family Facebook Group please email Rev. Michelle at edu@uuroc.org.
While we are not meeting in person our staff connects with our families to provide support and resources.
Our typical programming when we are meeting in our
building is listed below.

Multi-genterational Worship
Children and youth join the congregation for the entire worship service several times throughout the year.
Children's Faith Development
[Currently on Hold]
Sunday Mornings, September-June | 10:30 am – 11:45 am
Children's religious education is offered on Sunday mornings during Sunday service throughout the school year. It is a special time here at First Universalist. Each Sunday we begin our experience in the Sanctuary as a whole community. After hearing the Story, our young people (ages 4+) continue their worship experience in the Children’s Chapel. Guided by trained religious educators, they are encouraged to explore and reflect upon life’s biggest questions. Each child has an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Unitarian Universalism while learning what it means to live lives full of dignity, meaning, and compassion.
